The Jordan Bike Trail

Experience Jordan has been mapping out the Jordan Bike Trail for a while now, with the intention of attracting cyclists from around the world to brave this 15-day adventure. We shot this in the July heat with a team that was strangely upbeat for seven consecutive sunrise wake-ups. The video was delivered as a 3-minute info video along with shorter versions for social media.

Produced by The Film Guys Client: Experience Jordan / USAID The Jordan Bike Trail is an epic cycling experience that takes you all the way across the country, through 700 km of rolling green forests, sandy red deserts, the Dead Sea, world heritage sites (such as Petra), and ends at the shore of the Red Sea. There’s one main route with accessible or more technical detour options to choose from. All routes are publicly available on GPS. Cyclists can pick between a supported or self-supported trip. A supported trip means that tour companies, like Experience Jordan, will offer logistics, on-trail assistance and food. A self-supported trip is for the bikepackers, the adventurous travellers who want more independence. Cyclists might even encounter one of Jordan’s natural traffic lights. Along the trail you’ll find all sorts of accommodation options. Homestays, bedouin camps, or you set up your own. This trail truly is the most amazing and authentic way to experience Jordan.
